Growing up in a small town in North Carolina, Icey Da Boss learned at a young age that nothing would come easy. He began writing music at 10 years old and has developed into one of the most elite independent artist of the Carolinas with his witty lyrics and the flawless stage presence to compliment the flow.
Admiring the styles of Andre3000, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, and Lil Wayne and more--Icey began to buckle down and focus on trying to become his idols. He forced himself to write at least 3-4 times a day, to record at least 2-3 times a week, and to perform at least 1-2 open mics for practice on his stage presence. Over time those songs became popular hits, and the open mics became paid gigs from Raleigh, NC all the way to Harlem, NY. Most recently, Icey delivered a phenomenal performance at the Rucker Park for the EBC (Entertainers Basketball Classics) Opening Week ; Hosted by Power 105.1. Many venues along the east coast recognized Icey for his energy on the stage and his ability to put on an awesome show. Icey has also received co-signs from Roc Nation and Grand Hustle A&Rs, Radio Stations in NYC as well as NC, and dozens of club owners along the way and DJ's nationwide.
With over 1500 recorded songs, 30+ mixtapes, nearly 150 features, and a very carefully constructed album set to release Summer 2017-- Icey continues to write and create daily for himself as well as other artists. In 2017, Icey released 7 projects including the popular "Should've Been An Album" "mixtape ("Ali Tyson" , "Off The Boat"), and the very much anticipated follow up to his 'Kinda Famous' series "Kinda Famous 2"("YouDaMan!", "Pass Me By"). Kinda Famous 2 is currently making waves across the South and is available on Spinrilla, Datpiff and more. Icey's most recent self titled EP is simply classic and is also making its way across the USA. The new Icey Da Boss EP is available on Itunes, Spotify, Amazon Music and More.
